Earth Day Cefalù 2025 – XI Edition

The World Earth Day (Earth Day) of 22 April, established in 1970 by the United Nations, is the largest environmental event to celebrate the planet Earth and promote its conservation.
Earth Day involves up to one billion people in 192 countries and more than 20,000 associations around the world every year.
Earth Day Italy, the main Italian partner of the Earth Day Network, was founded in 2007 with the aim of strengthening the Earth Day and its objectives throughout the national territory, promoting the development of projects and initiatives for the planet, and promoting the formation of a new environmental awareness.

Earth Day has become an important moment and a significant tool for raising awareness of environmental issues.
The first edition of Earth Day Cefalù, held in 2013 in three days, was among the 5 events of the month of April 2013 to help the world, and therefore as an environmental event at a national level, next to major cities such as Rome, Palermo, Bergamo and Bari, with a feature in Cairo Editore’s monthly magazine Natural Style.

Earth Day Cefalù, which this year comes to the 11th edition, has been conceived and coordinated since its inception in 2013 by Arch. Salva Francesca Mancinelli, current Councillor for Environmental Policies of the Municipality of Cefalù, and intends to promote the tourist image of the city and at the same time offer useful initiatives to raise awareness of environmental issues.
This year, from 22 to 27 April, the Festival focuses on six intense days of events and the active participation of all, young and old.
